Road America was the first of two endurance races for the PWC series and attrition was the name of the game. GTS had two cars fail to finish and one unable to make the grid, while the GT class had four DNF's. When the checkers flew, the Mustang Boss 302R of Stalker crossed first for the second time this year. The #4 Challenger of Squid finished 3rd, with the #88 Camaro of Wolfpack rounding out the podium in GTS. The win moved Stalker into third place in the GTS drivers championship, with Wolpack holding a solid lead of 39 points over Squid in second place. Simcik in his #5 Dodge Challenger scores his first top five finish, earning an impressive fourth place finish, followed by DirtyDawg in the #73 Subaru.
The GT race was mared by controversy, illegal builds, illegal cars and over aggressive driving, almost overshadowed the on track action. Warspite debuted the new Bentley Cont SS at Road America, and after several performance adjustments, piloted the big beauty to a solid second place finish behind race winner Hannibal in his new Nissan GT-R. It was Hannibal's first win of the season in GT, after a poor start to the season in the Viper GTS. Third place went to BigdutyDMomoney in his #26 Porsche GT3, the Cadillac's of Moesavy and Roscoe rounded out the top five.
Two cars were deemed to be illegal by post qualifying and post race inspections. Pancho was found to be entered in an non compliant GT car and was stripped of third place qualifying points, thus awarding Moesavy the bonus. Hannibal's GT-R was found to have an illegal build and was penalized 38 driver's championship points.
As the series moves on to a new venue, the anticipation of coming off a large, speed track to a short, handling track, should provide some very close racing. The GT points standing has tightened and every point is pivotal, in GTS, the field is catching Wolfpack, but with consistent finishes from the Camaro, will there be enough points races for the back markers.
Next stop, Tsukuba, a drifters dream that can become a racers nightmare in a hurry, we go to Japan for rounds 10 & 11 in the PWC GT/GTS Championship.
Racing Note: Tsukuba was intended to be a place to draw young people into the world of motorsports, popular from the start, decades later Tsukuba retains more of a youthful, grassroots feel than larger and more established tracks like Suzuka, just as its creators intended. In fact, it has become ground zero for some of the most popular motorsport events in Japan. Time attack, the aftermarket-originated concept of pitting highly tuned street cars against the clock utilizing flying starts and stock tires, is closely associated with Tsukuba. Just 1.3 miles long, the key to the track’s large-radius turns is keeping up your momentum and hitting the apexes with finesse. Overstear is a common theme, if you can handle the corner exit, you can win at this track.
Schedule Note: Practice schedule & session times subject to change, dependent upon driver availability.

Thanks to the GT drivers for a relatively incident free round of racing on a very tight and hard to pass track. Congrats to Sainted on the clean sweep and to Warspite for keeping him honest in that beast of a car. Well done chaps.

GTS was an amazing race for the #5 SRT Challenger 392R! I did not expect to be giving the leaders hell all night, and I REALLY wasn't expecting to hold off JP during Race 1. It was a rubber band race, for sure, and that final straightaway before the last corner saved my bacon every single lap... Thanks to JP for the very hard (but clean) racing. That was a blast. Unfortunately JP had issues in between the heats and couldn't get his Mitsubishi fired up again for Round 11. Starting from the pole, he would have undoubtedly won that one.
Dawg and Blakey were back and forth all night too. In Round 11, Dawg's spotter let him down and didn't see Blakey swerve in Turn 5, which sent Dawg into the tires to track left. Dawg fell to the back, but ran strong enough to recover to 3rd within a few laps, despite the damage to his Subaru. Just as I was catching Blakey and trying to challenge for the lead, Dawg was catching me. The last 10 laps were intense for all of us, and at several points we were damn near touching each other bumpers in every corner. I couldn't quite clear Blakey, and Dawg couldn't get around me (though I almost gave it away!) I tell ya, that was intense! Especially when you realize that we had 2 small and nimble AWD cars battling against the largest muscle car in the field! What a great race! Kudos to Blakey, Dawg, and JP for the great racing here at Tsukuba.
(Replays of both races are on my Storefront. You should definitely check them out.)

have to say im pretty disapointed with the sunday night event and monday night events for myself here. Worked HARD on getting both cars to be right and they were still a second off the pace. Reset my box, router and shut off all other internet using electronics and I still kept getting disconnected. Bad luck happens once in a while and its inevitable. I didn't start tuning until sunday night due to traveling all week due to graduation celebrations parties and trips, but I did put in a lot of time sunday-monday.
p.s. Thats why a good starting spot is CRUCIAL. You're less apt to get run over or lag bombed haha

Last night was certainly my best races of the season to date. From capturing the pole, to two podium finishes. I really threw away the first race after leading the first 10 laps by missing my braking point and sliding way wide. I stayed glued to Blake's bumper for the better part of the remaining laps. There were several opportunities for me to dump him for the win, but that's not how I drive. I did, however, keep giving him little reminder taps so he wouldn't forget I was there.
I was hoping to catch the lead early in the second race, and almost did on lap one when Blakey went wide. I tried to stuff my car into a spot it wouldn't fit and ended up in the tires, dropping me back to 6th or 7th. My heart was in my throat as I fought back up to 3rd and continued dropping thousandths off of each sector. I made up a lot of ground in a little time but couldn't get past Sim's SRT, no matter how many times I nudged him. Overall it was one hell of a race. Based on the practice run at Sunset, the next rounds should be pretty entertaining as well.

Everyone was saying how the McLarens were fast here and to watch out so i was thinking guys were running 57's. I was pushing myself to run faster thinking that a 58.3 would only be mid pack. I was wrong. I guess i aimed for something too high. My best ever lap in practice was a 58.2xx and i was getting stuck there, but then during the race with warspite behind me i found another quarter second and hit that 57.9 on lap 20 i think. I thought that he would have got me down the back straight but he didnt, it was turn one where he got side by side with me. Whew it was intense too, I had just enough out of the corner to hold it into the next hairpin. Great race warspite. really great race. Wasnt a lot of back and forth, but it sure was a lot of crapping my pants. I saw you laying off and mounting a charge and every time you did that i was worried that you would catch me on the back straight and i wouldnt be able to hold you off. Good stuff. Onto Sunset and Indy where i need to hold on for dear life.

There's a line on the final corner that I could take @ 91mph, but I just couldn't get my car to stick it. Then I had remembered I shifted my down-force for the last race and never moved it back. Cost me in the end. Also I'd push hard out of the last hairpin but just didn't have the power or oomph to get by. The most I would muster was door to door for a few secs and then you'd just simply walk away.
Sorry to my team mate for not being able to run the 2nd race Great racing to all though.

Bummed that I couldnt make the race but I was lucky to be able to sit in the VA hospital waiting rooms all day because they were short half the doctors and I live 90min away so I was going to make sure the trip wasnt wasted. I definitely would have been up there and pissing the tuners off. I hadnt tuned much because I didnt know if I would be there. But the lap times were 1.01.0xx +/- a couple tenths. My car was money off the two hairpins. Sloppy in other corners but overall had speed to fight with. Would have been fun! Scooby and Road America are my two favorites. But on to next week where Im going to win!
