| Man tough race for the SRT camp. Sim had mechanical failure in race one that sidelined him for the week and I was fighting under-to over-to understeer and my turning radius seems to be about a 1/4 mile oval track so I had to park it in every other corner. Im actually happy that I only got tapped and not blasted. Overall I thought it was very clean. My goal was just to make sure that every car that was faster had to step their game up to pass me. Ran the inside line as cleanly as possible and probably miffed Wolfpack since every time he had a run there was nowhere to go for 5 laps or so. Looking forward to letting the HEMI sing when we get here |

Its alright. Rubbins racin as they say. Good race regardless. Sometimes aggressive moves are called for and in this case it was because that was the only way you were getting around me. Good race and congrats to you and sainted on picking up the victories. Congrats also to the GTS winners and a big shout out to Oddball, getting on the podium, way to go bud. Show them what a front wheel drive car and a set of balls big enough to drive it can do. |

| If you look at those lap times i dont understand how i got the win in race two. I ran my exact qual lap during race two (which got me on the pole for race 1) and it was one of the slowest laps ran! I guess i was able to run my best from start to finish through qual and the 2 races and everyone else had to warm up. I shouldnt have gotten the pole for race one, nor should i have gotten the win in race two. I wish i could have held piihb off in race 1 for one more lap too! a 6 point swing would have been really nice. But i think that Sebring with be a little bit of a struggle and it will shake things up. I dont have much top end as it stands, and gaining weight and losing tires will make it even tougher. Maybe ill get lucky again lol. |

| Consistency and a lil bit of luck creates title contenders. Sometimes a lil Days Of Thunder action can make you go from top 5 to win. |

| going to have to go back to the drawing board on the camaro for sebring. Might have to slap on the zr1 tune and work like hell on the gears because this thing isn't even in the ball park parking lot at this track haha |

| Starting at the rear of the field for Race One, and knowing that I was not going to be faster than the other cars, I took a little different approach to the race. (Wolfpack's spin was the only break from that strategy.) Run a defensive line and make it hard for anyone to pass, and run clean, fast laps if I was at the rear.
It was paying off. With 7 laps to go, I had the second fastest lap of Race 1, and with just about everyone else battling for position, it was likely that I would have started Race Two at the front of the pack. Then things would have gotten really interesting... I'd seen in practice that despite being slower through almost every corner, I had enough acceleration and speed to beat most other cars to the next corner, which are obviously the hardest places to pass on this track.
I was looking forward to seeing if I could make something crazy happen and pull off a decent finish in Race 2. Alas, transmission issues (Get it? Transmission issues? Lag? Haha!) did me in at the end of Lap 21 in Race 1, and my evening was finished... It's nice to have a series like this where strategy can actually have an effect on the race outcome.
By the way, the Shiner Bock SRT seat is available for Sebring. If someone knows any good drivers-for-hire, pass that along. I won't be able to make it since I'll be on my honeymoon. (Why couldn't we be doing Ladera this week???) I'll be back for the race on Memorial Day, though, so I'll see you fellas there.

| ^^^ Keeping it clean really helped hear. I got rear-ended a few times, nothing devastating (the only difference was corner exits were a bit more ice'y) and that really helped considering everyone was nailing the walls xD |

That would be the outlap. everything else was dirty, dirty, dirty. For some reason, in race 2, any time both of my outside tires touched the outside rumble strip after the quick right-left after the carousel it dirtied my lap. only way I could start a lap clean was to miss the rumble strip completely, but I lost way to much time doing that. |

| I think that was probably more of folks drafting.... I was getting drafted on or drafting somebody both races so I never actually got a clean one after quals. |

| Well I am looking forward to Sebring. Corners my car seems about average but I know I'll have straight line speed for that final stretch. At least I a hope I will after New builds come out this week. Time to see what this GTR can really do. |

| True. I am all for closer racing. I just know my cars strengths and weaknesses. Time for learning the car is over. Now comes the breaking it in. |

| I may have the builds out by tonight.
I think Sebring will be a change of pace for most guys, not just because of build changes, but because of which cars and drivers typically do well there.
I'm hoping I can by top 5, preferably top 3 in the Boss, it tends to do better at Sebring. |

| Well the officials have given the Mechanics of A.O.T.S a handful to deal with. They promised me their best work, and in return I shall drive the living balls outta this car on the track. So far the lap times are lookin very skeptical, but keeping an open mind and a racers competitive heart, and hoping the traveller's guardian rides with me come race day. My sponsors Go Fast and AMS are hoping I do well on this famous track because front running can be a major boost.
The pressure is on. |
