Vintage LeMans Series Round 1 - Sunset Full (R)

I'll be putting up some historical clips for each of the races. Since we're relying on Sunset to represent Daytona, enjoy the following vintage goodness:

Tonight is sunset full reverse?

Technically, it's the qualifying races (10 laps in GT, 10 in the prototypes). Results will determine which drivers end up in the prototypes for the season. It will also determine the starting PI for each driver heading into the start of the season next Monday.

BTW - I am revisiting the race lengths to try and keep them to an hour or less.

I can be 8 EST at the Lobby, but:

-It have to start right on time (need to be off at 9 EST )
-What I should run, GT or P?

Tonight we are running 2 10 lap races. The first will be all GT, the second all P. I plan on starting on time so we can wrap up on time.

I am stuck at work. Fixing a compressor that went down.

I guess I will run whatever you put me in or I can do wahtever you need to get put into a class.

Not a problem. I'll run some laps with whoever needs it so we can establish which class you should be in and what your starting PI will be.

Even that not many racers showed up, the race was great.

First 3 lasp were a huge battle on both classes, but oddball DB4 had an electrical failure and that was all for him on GT.

Manuel Jaguar took the lead on lap 7th, but reaching the end of the race DirtyDawg´s Corvette came alive and attacked for the lead but 1 liitle mistake lefting only 1 minute gave Manuel the win.

On prototipes the story is kind of different, when the 3 competitors werw fighting every inch for almost 20 minutes, until Squid and Leadfoot independently crash their cars against safe barriers on the track, that gave them a ¨wrecking car race¨ and a easy win for LSA.

Timer was setted to 1min and 30 sec, so GT cars have no time to reach the finish line, but they were there, except the DB4.

Oddbal I told you not to install a american electrical harness on the car.
