| Round one will be held at Road Atlanta on Monday 8/12/2013. This course will be technical and one of the fastest on the calender. This race with be 33 laps including the out lap. There will be a qualifying session held before the race. Qualifying will last 5 laps that will include three flying laps to lay down the fastest lap. This is the only round to host a qualifying session. Clean times will start first followed by a dirty lap time if a clean one isn't achieved.
Road Atlanta is a fast, sweeping course, with long straights and tight corners alike. Turn one is a fast sweeping up hill right followed by a short uphill blast to turn two. Turns two and three are in rapid succession down to the popular sweeping esses back down the hill. Heading uphill to turn five, one of the key points on the coarse, braking will be tough and staying on course upon exit is key. Heading down to turn six it is important to get a smooth shift to keep momentum. Hard breaking into turn six will be a great place to set up a pass, so keep an eye out for some action here. Turn seven is arguably the most important turn on the course. Getting the power down AMD not spinning tires is important here. Losing one mile per hour here could result in three to four by the end of the stretch. This would make a big difference since all these cars are identical. The heaviest breaking comes at the down hill entrance to turn nine. The highest speeds are seen on the back stretch and braking points are important here. Look for more passing opportunities and possibly some carnage here. Rounding turns 10 and 11 are key to finishing a strong lap and getting the most possible speed down the front stretch. That's just one lap here at Road Atlanta. Now picture doing this 32 times and being surrounded by other drivers trying to do the same thing better than you. That's what is in store for tomorrow nights opening event. Good luck drivers and be there early for some practice.
This is the first event and we are looking for a good turn out. Remember to read the rules and make sure your car is legal. Just a reminder, there is an out lap for a rolling start and also full course cautions for larger accidents, this does not include a single car spin. This is for someone being unable to move or a multi car accident that is obstructing the track. |

| Estimated average lap time = 1.32.500
This number is based on a six lap run I did, on controller so it may be a little slow, with this as the average time. I ran as fast as 32.2 and as slow as 32.6. Hope this helps everyone judge how they are running. |

| Race starts at 9 and will run approx 50 min. If everything goes smooth and no cautions it will be almost exactly 49 minutes. |

| Its too late to fix. The rules are already posted and the series starts tonight. As far as starting early, if everyone is on and ready we can try to start a little early. I don't see a problem with that. |

| Thought you meant something else. Ignore it. The car isn't an exact build to real life. Things were changed to make it work for forza. |

| With the first race down, drivers reved up for round two, and the series officials looking for ways to make the racing even tighter, round one was a success. After a limited field showing up, it was non other than hiredgun who took the checkered flag. It was a caution free race with close battles throughout the field. Tough luck for Max as he suffered engine damage early on but managed to hold out for the end and a tough break for John Eddowes, oddball, as well facing an engine failure early on. After an overall successful day at the track, the drivers head home for some rest and are eager for what this series will become. Thanks to everyone who made this possible and a special thanks to dirtydawg for going above and beyond to get this series where it is. |

| just curious of what the lap times were, Piihb's 1:32s didn't sound quite right. Did manage to get high 1:34's though. Sounds like a good start too. |

| Mid 35s became average for the leaders and touching high 34s.
Everyone be sure to check the new build and tune as there have been some changes. Also there ie now an alien build that as of now will include hired, roscoe, fender, and myself. It is roughly the same car, but weighs a little more. Hopefully the added weight will slow it down enough to balance the field out a little more. |

| Penalty Results
Only penalties this week are to roca and hired These come as a result of late entry and rushing to get into the race lobby. Penalty handouts will be coming soon and be sure to sign up if you haven't done so and adjust the transmission as to avoid penalty. |

| Build/Tune penalties are as follows: Hiredgun308 - 3 points (tune not within established parameters) NSA Roca - 3 points (tune not within established parameters) Livery penalties are as follows: NSA Roca - warning (livery does not meet league guidelines) Above penalties were adjusted due to both joining the series at literally the last minute. In the future, any build determined to be non-conforming will result in a 5 point penalty on first occurrence and expulsion from the series for any subsequent occurrence. In the future, any non-conforming liveries will result in a 2 point penalty on the first notification, a 5 point penalty on the second notification, and expulsion from the series for any subsequent offense. Hired and Roca, please officially register for the series HERE and PM me your first and last name so that I can prepare a car for you. Thanks in advance. |

| Looks good dirtydawg. From here on we should no longer have penalties since everyone would have received a proper car by next race. Lets move on to Laguna!
Congeats hired on the win in the inaugural race of what will hopefully become a great series. |
