As the PWC season winds down to a close, the last endurance race at Road Atlanta was the first multi-class event of the year. Once again the monster #7 Team-M Bentley showed the field the power and grace of British royalty, Warspite captured his 6th win of the season and moved within 3 points of second place in GT behind Moesavy, who finished just behind in second. Sainted's #3 B&N Porsche 911 edged out the #14 Cadillac of Roscoe, to sure up the Drivers Championship in the GT class. Roscoe is sitting in 4th place, 6 points clear of Dr PiiHB in 5th and with one race to go, the battle will be for second between the Cadillac and Bentley. The GT Manufacturers title is still up for grabs, as Porsche leads Cadillac by 13 points, with 13 points on the board for next race. Show up and finish 9th or better will guarantee the German race fans a title.
A strange race for GTS drivers as they shared the circuit with GT, had multiple car mechanical failures, and two last minute replacement drivers for the two top teams. Hiredgun was brought in by Roush Racing to run Road Atlanta for the team in place of Stalker, who is out for personal reasons, and showed his early retirement from GT was not due to performance. The Ford Mustang Boss 302R ran a flawless race and easily won the 34 lap battle for Roush Racing. Another replacement driver, Abe, stepped in for the absent GTS leader, Wolfpack, in the US Navy/Blackdog Camaro SS. Abe found his way to the last step on the podium for his boss and scored some precious points in the driver standings. With only a 21 point gap separation at the top, it has yet to be determined whether the two teams will have their regular drivers, or alternates, who will only score half championship points for the car. That leaves the 3rd place Dodge squad in prime position to leap frog from 31 points down, to claim the title, with a perfect drive.
Infineon Raceway is the site of the series finale and is one of the most utilized courses in the world, with events being held nearly 340 days each year. Sonoma has hosted a long list of different racing series, including Trans Am, IMSA GT, and the ALMS. From IndyCar, Formula D, AMA Superbike, and NHRA, to NASCAR, this is the perfect place to end a perfect season of Pirelli World Challenge racing.
It's time to head to northern California, and wine country, for the Sonoma Grand Prix!
Racing Notes: Infineon is known for its challenging banked turns and significant elevation change, from the highest point at Turn 3a (174 feet) to the lowest point at Turn 10 (14 feet). In between, the course has several variations that change the course to best suit the race event. From the white-knuckle Turn 1, to the blind crest of Turn 3a, to highly technical chicane at Turn 9a, it’s a course that challenges even the most experienced drivers. Hitting your marks and not drifting wide out of key turns will be a huge factor in the final race of the PWC season.
Schedule Notes: Practice schedule & session times subject to change, dependent upon driver availability. Because of the July 4th Holiday, the scheduled practice sessions may be altered.
I am ready for monday. One of my favorite tracks, last online points race for me ever, I will put the car in victory circle. The car was junk, but have made massive strides with it and am focused and ready. First half the season was great for me but this second half has been pathetic, The dodge and ford camp better have there ducks in line come monday.

You're second in the Points so would suck if you loose out, let me know how you're feeling later on and i'll see if I can help with a reserve or if not I'll offer my services as a Driver, but atm the Bentley is too damn fun to bench lol.
I'll message around see what I can do for a Last minute reserve.

I tell ya what man. Not sure how the points will work but I'm pretty sure even if I don't race I'll end up 5th. I will drive your car for you if it gets you a few points. I have been dying to get back in a Cadillac. If it is allowed I will run your car. That way Mr Tanks can run for 2nd in points and I can drive a Cadillac again. Let me know what you think and if you're cool with it I will run your car.

Done deal, hopefully Moe can still race but if not I'm fine having PiiHB take over for the finale so the car still runs, if you decide you can't drive moe why don't you stick around and Spectate? would still allow you to keep some pride and root on the Cadi boys from the pits.

Feeling terrible for the guys who are either missing or at risk of missing the final round of a big season. :'(
On a different note though, just spent a few hours stabalising the Beast and um... it's dropped a HUGE chunk from it's average time.
Will still get beaten, but at least I know I put the effort in, good luck to everyone for tonight, imma take a couple hours to nap so I don't go drowzy for the race, take care.

Honestly you might be better off just parking the car on the side. I'm pretty sure that you don't get driver points if someone fills n for you. I think that is what was said about hired filling in in gts. Still willing to run your car but I don't want you to lose points either.

Should be half driver points. But I hate to just start and the caddy not run. I want it to be in the fight. I just wouldn't be able to be consistent or even fast lol

Replacement drivers earn 1/2 points for the car they run. But I much rather it be a driver not currently in the same class, this could pose a problem. However, since this is the last race, the GT championship has been decided and 3rd place driver is not apposed to a replacement, I can let this slide.

Yahoo. I would have liked to go out on a win, but i snagged a podium instead. Close close racing hte first race and i banged out a 1:37.039 the second race trying to catch roscoe and WarTank. I didnt think i could come close to hitting a 36. but if i had another half tenth that would have been sick. Still, it was great racing with you guys. It feels kinda good to finally get this damn porsche of mine a driver's championship. It only took 4 leagues and 7 seasons but i finally got the trifecta for this 911 throughout Forza 4. It was a blast racing with you guys and ill be around if you got something else going. Maybe we can run the same group of guys and have 8-8 multi class of this.

Great couple rounds of racing there guys. I came so close to getting a win my first race back in the caddy. I'll take a 2-3 week though. Felt good to pilot the beast again. Sucks for whoever that was that kept jumping in and out of the lobby after they lagged out. Roscoe will be on a war path and you are the target. I'm going into hiding to wait out the assault.

Roscoe I completely understand why your upset, that wasnt my intent by no means but there is no excuse for what happened. I know your really pissed but I apologize.
P.s. I thought the BOP was supposed to make everyone equal or fairly close. Still smh at what was done to my car before indy. Totally overkill.
And I ran out of live an hour after the race. Cut it closs phew.
Good season guys, may or may not run the all star race that is yet to be seen.

My thinking on the BOP system was we had to many inconsistent times. People would run 1 thing in practice then another then pick up half a second or more in the race. Hard to balance from 3 sessions of diff. Times. I enjoyed the challenge of trying to be as fast as I could with a lower pi. That Bentley was just a monster lol just my opinion

Completely agree with Moe. You could tell who ha truly balanced cars throughout the season. It was very hard to even fight for a podium once you were balanced. Not sure about gts but in gt it was obvious who had a proper car and who was holding back until race time. Sill by far the best and most challenging series I have been a part of.
Hope you wern't referring to me trying to take advantage of anything lol, trust me when I say I worked with Stang and Max from the first week, even Road America I was PI dropped several times during the week and even again 15 mins before the race, two of the rounds I offered to switch to the heavier car since it was hard to slow a car down that was so unpredictable especially when you have no idea what other drivers were doing.
Infinion wise I was surprised, some drivers were doing low 38's and high 37's in the first practice after Indy, I figured once the PI drop came in for everyone and some heavy tuning/practice that would be smashed with no problem, you could see that after race 1 when people were doing near a second UP from their Q, only reason I did so well was because I spent hours tuning my car to Grip, 3,700lbs against a Porsche, Cadi and Audi's, even practing against PiHB you could see how close the times were as he left me for a major part of the session and again in the race, the difference came down to consistency and who made the least amount of mistakes.
If it seemed like a few drivers including myself wern't being balanced properly I do apologise majorly as I can see where you're coming from results wise, but the balancing from what I could tell was in the lap times, the organisers can't predict how the race will play out, they can only reduce their capability to reach the top times.
*Adding to the above, damage was a key factor in times, Q was always Cosmetic and Races set to Limited, I tune/Practice with damage on so tires warm up since you get SO much more Grip, from what I could remember some practice hosts had it on, others off, that's something else to keep in mind maybe? Not talking sh*t just saying cars handle WAY differently under these circumstances.

Not at all directed toward you. I have practiced with you and shared lap times for several weeks and you are always consistent with either me or top times. Toward the end of the season cars became a little more balanced but there were still some to be balanced a little more. I do not blame you for matching those times as it was the only way to win but had the field been a little more evenly matched, everyone would have had a chance at a win this season. No just the handful that won every race.

No I wasn't pointing at anybody lol not u at all tanks it's been a blast racing with u and everybody lol I can't wait till we can do this mess again. I was just stating that with times being so different it was gonna be tough to perfectly balance these monsters.
