While we have enjoyed several lively events, things have started to get a little too spirited. I'd like to refer everyone to the following racing standards:

Rough Driving - In nearly all forms of motorsports, particularly auto racing, it is rare to find a vehicle that finishes the race with as much paint as it started with. That being said, and in regards to the dubious nature of the “collision box” found in Forza Motorsport, every attempt should be made to minimize contact between drivers. An occasional bump or rub is acceptable, but exaggerated or intentional contact resulting in damage to another driver’s car will not be tolerated. This includes 'fender rubbing' down the entire length of a straight.

  • The “Bump and Run” vs. “Punting” - A slight nudge to move someone off of the racing line, or push them slightly deeper into the corner than they wanted to go is acceptable. Hitting someone from behind with sufficient force to spin their vehicle, move them off of the track, or cause damage to one or more vehicles involved is not. Further, using the “PIT” maneuver to gain position will not be tolerated. If a driver inadvertently “Punts” or “PITs” another racer, they are required to relinquish the position to the person they hit.
  • The “Dive Bomb” - When properly executed, this maneuver will result in a driver paying dearly for not defending their racing line. When executed improperly, the end result is often either wrecked or spun race cars. As previously stated, slight contact/fender rubbing is acceptable where fender banging is not. Additionally, consider any potential “collision box” and/or lag issues prior to making such a daring move. As similarly indicated above, if a dive bomb attempt results in the driver that is being passed suffering damage or being pushed off of the track, the driver that executed the dive bomb is required to relinquish the position.


For the remaining events of the season, penalties will be issued for any unsportsmanlike conduct. That being said, I do not have the patience to review every lap run by every driver, therefore if you feel that another driver raced you unfairly or would like to report an incident, please contact me via PM with a description of the incident and approximate lap number. Penalties will vary from a point deduction of 5 to 20 points for the at-fault driver.

Also, in an effort to reduce the number of contact incidents, all of the remaining races will be run with Limited Damage (including Positano).

Overall, this series is intended to be fun, and can continue to be as long as we all treat others on the track with respect.

Limited damage seems to be a bit more "real-life" when it comes to how much rubbing you see a car do without all of a sudden falling off the planet in lap times.

Thats why I like limited. Body panels aren't made of paper like Forza seems to think so.
