Don't want to really be "that guy" but I don't feel that the cars are "even". Not trying to stir the pot but The Ford and the Mazda are too fast, I have heard the Mini as well. I don't put too much time into the game anymore but it didn't take too much to see it. I can respect the nature of realism and trying to get the cars equal to their real life counterparts but in this game it doesn't always turn out to be equal with the specs. I enjoyed the racing we did last week but if these races are going to continue to be rated by FLR I don't know that I will continue to compete. No disrespect to anyone driving these particular cars. I just see a bit of dominance in certain builds.
P.S. It's my Birthday!!! I'll cry if I want to B!tche$$$$$$!!!! HaHa

A few of things. First, there are some cars that are faster than others - on certain tracks. Just like IRL, some have speed, some have acceleration, some have handling. Second, during pre-season testing, it was determined that all of the cars were within about 1-2 seconds of each other at each track tested. Third, the PI adjustments I am doing take into consideration the races completed and the practice race at the upcoming venue.
And yes, I am trying to keep the cars within the confines of the SCCA regs, but with the limitations of the game, I am only able to comply with the spirit of the rules. My goal is to avoid having one or 2 drivers dominate for the entire season by actually giving the slower drivers a fighting chance via incremental PI adjustments. My system works pretty well, when you consider the results of the Vintage LeMans season finale - 10 laps @ Old LeMans, The top 4 Prototypes finished within 9.2 seconds (3rd & 4th finished 0.21 seconds apart) with all posting fastest lap times within 0.9 seconds of the leader while the GT field wrapped up with a 0.8 second margin of victory.

The Ford and the Mazda are kind of fast, but they are well balanced on handling too. The Mini have more power, but lacks of braking and handling.
Yes, the cars are NOT even.
I think the cars should be based on the mini final speed, getting all the rest at that level, and then, give the none handling cars the grip to match the Ford or Mazda.

I dont wat to think that just because is a ¨rated¨ series, people dont want to race where they are not winning or getting good results ( nothing against Kickrocks ), this sound like Forza 2 days, where u can find a Veteran winning points on easy people with a leaderboard car, and when some really challenge him in the room with lower TrueSkill he just left because he will get downrated.

In racing, 1-2 seconds is a HUGE diference. And even more in a lower P.I class. I think maximum 5 tenths is reasonable.

P.I adjustment will be almost innecesary if car were more even, but thinking that it will happens I have found a mistake on that since DSC, where a car is adjusted by a result and it won or had a bad race because the track suits or not for the built it had, and gets adjusted.... but the next track is underated or to fast.

That is great, but dont force a specific trans set up or use parts that someone dont like. Not everyone drives like the same.

Like I said, i'm not trying to make a big deal. It's not that I won't race because i'm not going to win. I really don't care much for the rating system. It takes some of the fun out of racing for fun and makes it more of a serious venue. I have participated in many different leagues with inferior cars and not even looked at the ratings but my point is, the cars are not even. If they were built differently they could very well be put on the same platform. PI adjustments can even cars out but not with the certain parts that are being adjusted. If a car has too much power, it is still going to dominate. Not being a duechbag, just saying...

I have full confidence in Dawg, in fact when testing at multiple tracks, each car was within a few tenths of each other. The Abarth was fast on certain tracks, while the Mazda had quicker times on others, they all were damn close in overall times at each circuit.
This series is meant to have fun and for some close racing, and so far it has produced, even if you put LeadFoot or Bulin in a stock Spark or ForTwo, they will be near the lead. We also don't base our series on FLR ratings, there're just a byproduct of each race.
Thanks for the input, we always listen to what people have to say about the racing and implement it the best way we can.
PS. Dawg, put LeadFoot in a stock Spark for the next race!

At this race not only LeadFoot was fast. He was very lucky to start first at the random grid race 1, that way he got the pole for race 2, and did a great race at race 3.
But ItJustbe started from behind the first race and finished 3rd, and he was all over leadfoot the hole race. Bulling Wall also did a great job.
And not to forget about Moesavy, that ran the fastest lap of all the day, but they were on the most balanced cars.
So is not just about sending one guy to a stock car, there are many fast drivers in the series firt race.
Lets see what race 2 brings!
NOTE:
By the way, my P.I went to high with race trans, that is not making me feel proud.
