We had our first taste of these rubber-munching meatheads, now...to Japan!  Being the second race, we will not qualify in the conventional sense, but carry over the double sprint-race format from the Superstars.  Who will prevail, the mighty 600+ horsepower firebreathers from modern GT1, or the glued-down corner carvers of GT500, old GT1, and DTM, or the Mosler?  (Hint:  not the Mosler.)  Now put up your pretty pictures!

It's Suzuka, Sainted.  No handling cars are going to get left anywhere.  Also, check your build revision.

Honing the new build

Well, I went yesterday with Pablo and LeadFoot to Suzuka to test our cars, and what a Surprise when I came in.

I saw many trailers parked on padock, and results that Nein Sheiza people were there too.





Ford GT, Corvette ZR1, Viper GTS, Viper GTS R, Porsche GT1, were testing tires and springs.


So we had a great day practicing all together.   Seems we will have two solid packs racing, a group of 4 or 5 in front, and a fierce battle right behind them.  

Lets see if can improve a bit my car to be in between.

1:59.8 is my fastest balls out qually style lap.

2:00.9 is my fastest in the C6R, average more like 2:01.5.

GTS cars are runnig great on this track, they run like mids 27s and a couple of cars more as I was informed.  

I do run something like 59,0 constantly, but sometimes a 58 shows.  A big pack of cars runs between 58,5 to 59,5.  So we have work to do to get those guys!

I've hit one 1:59.9, but mostly in the 2:00-02 range with my times falling off after the first few laps. I'm trying to work a little more consistency into my tune.

The trick is to practice with people of the series, that way compare línes and determine where the car is loosing time.

Uh-oh fellas.  I just saw a 7 and a 5 in my lap time.  Now if only I could do it again...

I hear ya.  My 57.5 was a miracle lap--there's no way I can consistently match that (if even at all).  I have a feeling that there will be three very fast cars in the pack, followed by 6 or 7 of us in the 58 range.  But, we chose these cars and they chose those cars.  For our sake, at least there's Le Mans and the 'Ring lol

Thanks for the pic Manuel.  Overall, those times are pretty darn close.  Good race everybody!

I made 1 mistake and loose 2 positions, then another one and loose another 2.  This series is amazingly competitive.  Thanks God i was able to gain one spot and finish 8th

I'd like to say that im still mad about getting dumped so many times. I also love how some people who do have mics dump you and dont say a word. tells me that it wasnt much of an accident. I know that if i come up to that driver again im going to "make a mistake". Feel free to ban me if you dont like it.

Mic was off to prevent words being said to other drivers, not you in particular. If you feel that you don't know me well enough to know that I don't deliberately try to ruin other drivers' races, we haven't raced enough. I was honestly not expecting that much turn in with my car on that section of the track. If you feel like you need to "make a mistake" to prove your point, by all means go ahead. I won't hold it against you. Anymore discussion of this will be done off the forums or by arbitration of Admin, if necessary.
