I'm not sure what to do about limiting sign up numbers, i will either limit it to one lobby for this season, or allow more sign-ups and if we get over 16 racers show up split into two lobbys.

Cap it!

Go for 24 and split into lobbies of 12. but if its one or two guys then.... ouch.

I agree with this. Once you split lobbies, you run into having to record race times to establish finishing order, etc. Doing that with Pred's series led to an additional hour or 2 after the races completed for the race hosts just sorting out the details. Huge PITA.

Depends on cautions really. If no cautions then go big. If you do cautions limit the size.
Or run two lobbies and have cautions and have it where you can't advance past top of your lobby.
You have a few options.

I say let anyone who wants to sign up....but only the 16 fastest times make the race.  Just like a real race, if you are too slow, you go home!!

Oh yeah....you have a heat race now.  I like that idea too.  Then I say cap the sign up at 16.  You don't want it to be unmanagable right out of the gate.  That causes mistakes and end up with drama (I think we all know what I am talking about). 

I would also volunteer to get the boot if you reach the cap.  I am def going to miss the first three weeks of the series, so I don't want to fill a spot if others will show.  I'll just run practice with you guys and help poke fun at Roscoe!  HA!

That sounds best to me. If more show up than 16 to race then go by highest in points gets in. That's the most fair to me.

I voted to keep 1 lobby, but there will be 32 participants?  ...I see many new people joinning in.

How many peolpe is serious confirmed on the series?

15 confirmed as of now, but Snowman will miss the first few races.  I expect at least one more for a solid total of 16.  We could use an alternate list or sub drivers, I'm sure someone will have to miss a race during the season for one reason or another.

Right i'm capping the sign-up at 16, anyone who signs-up after will be put on a reserve list and invited if registered players are not online
