Looks good man. These paints are definitely tricky. I'm rocking the Chive NSA Camaro.

Looks awesome. I have updated it a little. Few tweaks to the logos and it's now a caddy. I'll post some picture when I get a chance to upload them. Still haven't gotten the hang of really what the hell I'm doing.

Yeah. Pretty sure I'm just gonna get a subscription to trading paints. Their paint shop has to be better than the way I'm doing it now.

So I am still dicking around with GIMP and have done a new paint for this car. How does it look and should I run it instead of the first paint?

A good alternative (read inexpensive) to photoshop is Corel PaintShop Pro. I've been using it since the 90's. It allows you to edit using layers (not sure if GIMP does that or not).

Gimp does and I'm sure it's a good program I am just computer illiterate. I am getting a little better though. Just not enough patience to get every little bit of random color tweaked out of the template. Its probably not a gimp thing but the actual template itself that does that. I'll look into it though for sure.
