Race 1 - Daytona 200 laps Lets not talk about Daytona. I qualified 10th, and got wrecked hard on lap 50. Finished 23rd of 30. I wasn't happy, so no pictures were taken. Race 2 - Phoenix 156 laps This was a much better race. I qualified 8th out of 30, so things are looking up! iracing_nascar_phoenix_start by snowman529, on Flickr I decided to just ride for a while, and try to stay out of trouble. Managing your tires was key in this race, and as people started wearing out their stuff, I moved up to 3rd. iracing_nascar_phoenix_d2d_3rd by snowman529, on Flickr We only had 4 or 5 cautions, but pit road was a mad house with 20+ cars on the lead lap. iracing_nascar_phoenix_pit_road_madness by snowman529, on Flickr Things are looking up on lap 150. I am solidly in 5th and just cruising. Right when I think I'm set.....caution....DAMN IT!! This last restart is critical. There are no green, white checkers in iRacing. Its a one lap dash to the finish....green....checkers!!! I'm working the tires to keep them clean and warm, knowing this restart is for all the marbles. Pace car ducks down pit road and.....I spun the Fff....Freaking tires!! iracing_nascar_phoenix_final_restart by snowman529, on Flickr I lost 5th on the start and ended up three wide for 6th into turn 1. Luckily I was able to squeeze through the middle and salvage a 6th place finish. I am a little disappointed that a lost a top 5 finish. But considering I was ranked 20th in the room, I'm pretty happy with 6th out of 30.

Race 3 - Las Vegas 134 laps Well this week sucked ass. The set up was looser than Jenna Jameson and drove worse than Roscoe when he is following Hired. I was consistently 25th-27th in practice and could only run 5-7 laps at a time. Yet somehow I pulled a 8th place qualifying position out of my ass. On the start, I quickly fell from 8th to 11th. On lap 10, I found myself in 22nd and in the turn 3 wall with most of the right front missing. Damn it!!!! On to Bristol.

Race 3 - Bristol 250 laps Well I am starting to hate racing.....As you can see there are no pictures. This week it isn't due to me wrecking out of the race, oh no. This week there are no pictures because I rage quit after wrecking out of the race. So practice started off great. I am 12th fastest on the board with some of the most consistent times over 10 and 20 lap runs. In qualifying I messed up the exit off 4 but still came home with a 6th place starting spot. My strategy all along was to just ride....ride for 200 laps and start racing with 50 to go. Bristol being Bristol, the caution waved early and often.....lap 3, lap 11, lap 19. It was a shit show. Everyone found a good rythm on the next restart though. We had a nice long 60 lap run to the next caution. I methodically worked my way through lapped traffic and moved up to 4th. But one of those damn lappers jumped up and bit me! He drove in too deep on the low line and pushed up into my left front pushing to the wall for another light tap. It was a light tap and I really didn't think I had any damage, but the car just would not turn at all. I quickly fell from 4th to 16th in 10 laps. Caution....thank GOD!! My two light taps amounted to 2 minutes of repairs. Being Bristol, in the three laps of caution i got a total of 45 seconds of repairs done to stay on the lead lap. Restart comes and I am trucking along. The push is still bad, but I am managing and staying on the lead lap. Then suddenly, there was slack in the wheel....SHIT! Coming out of 2 the left front blows and BOOM!! I'm in the wall. 12 minutes of damage to fix puts me 30 laps down. I ran two laps to move up a spot and then rage quit has hard as I could. At this rate, I might have to fire myself. Off to California next week!

This is a little off topic but..... BAM!!! Last night I finished 2nd in an iRacing sanctioned race at Auto Club Speedway. Tonight I finished 4th in the CAN-AM NEO Racing News series 180 lap Bristol race! I came from 20th to the top 5 on 5 separate occasions after pit stops tonight. My arms are killing me. Both races had some beating and banging coming to the finish. The first picture is Auto Club, and the second is Bristol. The Bristol picture is coming to the line for 2nd through 6th. Thank you Hawk Performance!!

Race 4 - Auto Club Speedway 100 laps Well I finished this race, so you guys get some pictures. Practice was ok, but not great. I was 15th on the board for most of practice at a 39:649. Qualifying went amazing. Somehow I picked up 2 tenths and laid down a 39:4xxx and started 5th. The set up was like one of Roscoe's favorite strippers. Tight on entry and sloppy loose coming off. I slowly dropped back to 7th, then 10th, then 12th. I hung on to 12th for about 35 laps or so. I grazed the wall and got some damage. I took some time to fix it at the first caution but that put me back to 24th. I move up to 16th on the restart. All of the sudden I hear "Spinner! Spinner!" I see smoke and a car pointed in the wrong direction......wooosh!!! I just missed him. I restarted 20th and hovered from 15th to 20th. I would work my way up and them get loose and lose it all back. This is a picture of me sideways. Just imagine that for about 80 of the 100 laps and its like you were riding with me. The excitement picked up at the end though. I knew I couldn't get a good finish based on talent....probably not news to any of you hosers. So I started saving gas. I was coming up 5 laps short, but it should vault me to a top 5 finish. Everything worked perfectly. I enter the pits in 2nd and take a splash of gas. Coming out of the pits I'm still in second....HOLY SHIT!!! This is gonna work!!! Then I step on the gas to merge......except I have two tires on the banking and two on the apron. And around she goes. No worries though, I saved it!!! I can still pull out a top 10. So I drop it to second and step on the gas......and around she goes. God I hate my life. And no you don't get pictures of that. I wound up right were I belonged I guess.....20th out of 31. Well at least I finished this one. Its off to Martinsville next week. Man is that going to be ugly.
