| Well the Cam-Am Late Model Series kicked off tonight with 100 laps at Rockingham. Twenty Eight cars showed up to try and tame one of the roughest ovals in the country. The Krown sponsored Nein Shiza entry was really a mid pack car tonight. I was 12th fastest in practice but I botched my entry into one in qualifying and started 16th. I stayed around 14-16th until the first caution on lap 38 when I stopped for fuel and two tires. From there I worked my way up to 11th. The second caution came out with about 20 to go, and good thing too because we were about 5 laps short on fuel. Re-started in 10th and worked my way up to 8th when the caution flew again. Tires are key at the rock so I pitted for four Dr. Feel Goods. I restarted 10th and got a great jump gaining 2 spots. But I got hung on the outside and they all flew back by. It was good hard racing for about 6 laps and worked my up to 7th. With three to go I could smell a top 5 and I was balls out going for it. I tuck my nose under 6th coming out of turn 4 and I have the run down the straight away when......all I can see is smoke. I dive to the bottom but its too late. Second place dive bombed the leader and took him out. As they are sliding down the track I had no where to go and t-boned the leader. I kept my foot in it and drove right through him. I came out of the other side with the left front caved in and smoking like a chimney. I managed to limp it around to finish a respectable 10th out of 28. It was a good points day for the Krown Rust Proofing team. I'll take it and move on to New Smyrna next week. Enjoy the pictures.
