Heading into the second round of racing in the Mustang Challenge Series, there are already rivalries brewing. Looking back to last week, there were some great battles and it looks like more of the same this week. Heading to Laguna Seca will test each drivers skill and patience. This course is fast but also very technical. You will see even closer racing than last week as there are new restrictions put in place to balance the field. Some cars have had weight added while others have only minor changes. Lets look at the track.

The front stretch is fast and takes a steep grade downhill heading into turn one. This corner is slow and will provide some great passing opportunities. Rounding two and three drivers can carry a good deal of speed so keep an eye out for some door to door action through thus section. Turns four and five you want to be in line for so you can carry speed back up the two hills. Now is the fun part, high speed straight into the dreaded corkscrew. You will want to have a good line here, and done properly, you can gain a bit under braking. Leaving Tue corkscrew and heading back down turn seven will be a great place to see some side by side action. The track sirens and you speed up quick through the long sweeping downhill. Turn eight is a one lane corner so make sure you have your pass coveted by this point or things can get dicey. The final corner again is a key corner. Getting traction will be tough here as the track is surrounded by dirt. Get the rear tires to hook and you can get down the front stretch a little quicker which will make a big difference by the end.

Good luck racers and remember to make sure your changes have been made and your car is to spec. Real penalties begin this week and the new build and tune has been up all week long!

Helmets off to you roscoe and snowman you guys didn't make it easy for me. Great racing side by side with you guys. We had some really cloooose racing that could have went bad real quick but you guys raced like the pros your are. I took some risky passes on snowman that usually wouldnt work with 99% public racers. I took the win but what is bigger is the respect I have for you guy

Yeah that was great racing. I love racing with this group because I know if I stick my nose in, or vice versa, the car control will be there. We all make ballsy, aggressive moves but only when we know we can make it work....well usually. It's a pleasure to be NSA and race with you guys.

Other than passing me on the outside of the hairpin (you dirty bastard) I had a blast racing you Hired. Its always hard racing, but its always clean. I'll get you one of these days.  

Ditto, Ditto!  Ran second for 5-6 laps until the cavalry came for me, one by one, on the inside, outside and corkscrew, two wide without any contact, well except for when I smacked Hired's ass when he went by.

Max you have come a long way in your racing each week I can see how much better your getting. Awesome job keep working on it brother your are definitely getting to be a challenger.
