I agree....the cars were very competitive. Great door to door racing. I am looking forward to the races.

Could be a formidable Caddy team in the works, time to make the Maserati even wider.

No race tonight. But we will be practicing for the superstars across a range of tracks and testing out the 5% power handicap.

Sorry I bailed last night. Wife needed the computer for work.
Good competitive racing though. I have to figure out how to get the rear tires to grip on exit. I am smoking the tires out of every low speed corner.

On the traction issue, try a longer final drive with shorter gears. Makes less torque to the rear axle that way. Also try softer spring rate in the rear, this will put more weight on the back tires.

You could also try a little more toe in in the rear. Push the rear tires in the car coming out of the corner.
Doing this will allow the rear tires to try to get the car out of the corner before you are straight. Fortunately in the gaming world of forza you can get pretty aggressive with this and it won't slow your top end or straight line speed. With the amount of power these things make, its tough to get traction at low speeds. Toe helps push the car out of the corner without pulling the back end around. Keeps it trying to go straight instead of spin.
Hope this helps.

Thanks PiiHB! I appreciate the help man.
I softened the springs and went up on the rear down force this week. I'll try the toe in the rear and some gearing changes next.

You know I like my diff like my women, tight, but roscoe, in these cars a tight diff may slow you down. Running only rear aero can make the car not want to turn through the middle of a corner. A tight diff could make this worse. I would go between 30-40 in these cars. Any tighter and it may end up causing some problems. Just a thought to consider.

That camaro may let you get away with it. A little shorter wheel base will be easier to get it to turn through the corner.

My diff is 28%/18%. Works for me. If you run the diff higher you brake in a straight line and it hurts turn in. I prefer to be able to twist the car around a hair pin. It also reduces wheel spin when leaving a corner.

Depends on the full set up and how it works together but basically yes. Its dependant on each car but I will run anywhere from a mid twenty up to a forty on most cars. Occasionally I will run up to seventy or eighty but only under certain circumstances.
On these cars with rear aero and no added downforce in the front, I would run down near twenty and allow the car toturn and let the back end step out but a tighter diff will give you stronger acceleration. Its tough to balance.
My caddy for preds league I will run a tighter than usual diff. The car has big power and I can use that to turn the car. If you have ever followed me out of a corner and paid attention to my tire tracks, you will notice that its my outside tire that will lay down black marks exiting a corner instead of the inside. That is because the diff is very tight and it turns my car when I step on the gas. It takes a lot of effort to keep the car straight on exit but anyone who has come out of a corner beside me has seen how hard the car pulls in a straight line. With the proper setup you can use just about any diff setting and be fast.

I'll be on tonight (around 8pm Eastern) if anyone wants to run some laps. Running solo it's hard to stay awake and I feel like I'm just chasing my tail.
